Built from a real problem, not a pitch deck
Stephen Billingsly runs a cleaning business in Sydney. A while back its books had drifted badly — the bank balance didn’t match the accounting software, invoices showed unpaid that were long settled, and income looked far higher than what had actually come in.
So he did the thing he does: built software to fix it. It rebuilt the books on a read-only copy, traced every deposit back to the invoice it actually paid, and showed the evidence for every correction — closing a $56k gap and reconciling to the cent in nine days.
It worked well enough to become a product. That’s Extrua Reconcile. The app that runs the cleaning business day to day became Extrua Dispatch. And the studio builds bespoke software for other small and medium businesses the same way — practical, evidence-backed, and built around how the work actually runs.
